Research:

Help Systems in Graphical User Interface Design
(This research project formed the basis for a PhD thesis at the University of London that expanded on my findings.)
Research project into how differently principled user interfaces require different types of help systems. Involved design and implementation of a program containing four differently structured interfaces for identical tasks. An experiment was designed and conducted to observe the users use of the help system and empirical evidence was collected. Project also contains an extensive literature review on the design of graphical user interfaces and explanation systems.
